Great Lakes Solex PR (“GLS PR”) is a minority owned and led renewable energy company currently building a state-of-the-art 800MW TOPCon monocrystalline photovoltaic (PV) solar panel manufacturing plant in Puerto Rico with a long-term goal of 6GW annual output within 5 years. GLS PR will be one the leading solar panel manufacturers in the U.S. and will be the only MBE (Minority Business Enterprise) in this sector.
Prompted by the dire need for alternative power sources in Puerto Rico, and having identified Puerto Rico as an ideal location for the manufacturing of solar panels, Great Lakes Solex PR, together with its partner, LUXEN, one of the largest Tier 1 manufacturers in the world, will operate the facility.
